What I ate on Monday… My delicious breakfast!

Standard

Hi,

You probably remember that I love waffles… 🙂

image

During my stay in America I ate them almost every day for breakfast. The American waffles are quite simple what you can see my old post here. You eat them either with jam or with maple syrup. The one I ate today was much more exciting and tasty. It was made by my husband’s sister, not a wafflebot or a package. You taste the difference immediately. The topping which I applied made my waffle even more spectacular 😉

I spreaded fromage blanc, decorate the waffle with freshly picked up fruits from my garden (gooseberry, blueberry and wild strawberry) and pour with maple syrup… Yummy!!!

Here’s the result:

It was so delicious!!! Do you like waffles too?

What I ate… Thursday 15th of May 2014

Standard

Hi,

There are days that I don’t know what to eat and I don’t want to eat. This Thursday was such a day.

When I woke up I already knew it’s going to be an unusual day…

BREAKFAST:

I started my breakfast with yoghurt and muesli.

2014-05-15 09.01.01

SECOND BREAKFAST:

Before going to swim I decided to eat at least some bread. I didn’t feel like eating my own bread so I decided for quick carbs and fat. I ate toasted hamburger bun with butter, cheese and pickles. To drink I had a half liter cup of tea.

15-05-2014

LUNCH:

For lunch I had another half liter cup of tea and an apple, bread with butter and double cheese, pickles, plus fried German sausages with Mexican ketchup and mustard.

2014-05-15 14.39.59

DINNER:

I was full and I didn’t feel like eating anything heavy. This dish reminded me times when I was young. Cooked potatoes, carrots, cauliflower and asparagus, topped with butter and breadcrumbs, and served with a fried egg.

This picture isn’t so aesthetic, I ruined my egg while serving in on my dish… Well, it happens! 🙂

15-05-2014-19.30

For drink I had Belgium beer, Kriek MAX:) I love it!

15-05-2014-Kriek Max

SNACK:

As this day was pretty different from what I eat normally, and I really didn’t feel like eating a proper supper, I decided to treat myself with two spoons of Cote D’or Milk chocolate.

15-05-2014-Cote Dor Melk

Summarising my day… It wasn’t sophisticated at all. It looked a bit trashy but that’s how I felt as well. I think it’s pretty human to have these days when you absolutely don’t want to invest any time and energy in cooking, and even worse, you don’t know what you want to eat! Luckily the day after I had my taste and energy back…

Cheers,

What I ate… Thursday 24th of April 2014

Standard

Hi there,

It’s been a very long time since I’ve written a post. As you know I became a mother and my little, cute baby boy took all of my attention away.

04-09-2014-Anna with Leon

Work, sports, household activities, cooking, friends and the baby filled all my free time.

My head is full of ideas and I’d like to share these with you guys. It’s a bit too early to get to the point where I wrote all these nice and very detailed posts but don’t worry, I’ll get back to this!

For now on, I’ll try to update you guys with what I eat. I’ll try to place a post at least once a month and if possible a bit often.

I hope you’ll stay with me…

So, let’s get started.

BREAKFAST:

Thursday is my day off and I had a chance to sleep longer. But no, unfortunately I awake very early today! Guess why? I was just hungry!

To begin my day properly and feel good about myself, I ate two slices of bread with Philadelphia natural spread and salmon. Next to this, I ate a bit of lettuce and cucumber. To drink I had green tea.

2014-04-24 07.20.58

SNACK:

Before getting to a swimming pool I decided to eat some little snack: green olives, Gouda cheese and Italian sausage.

2014-04-24 09.32.50

After this I ate some one orange and grapefruit. It was delicious!

2014-04-24 09.33.27

SNACK 2:

After swimming pool I went shopping. I took me a bit longer than I expected. I had no food with me besides my son’s rice waffles with apple cinnamon taste. They are very small but big enough to survive until lunch:)

2014-04-24 20.26.03

LUNCH:

I ate a piece of bread with butter and cottage cheese with yoghurt and radish. To drink I had just water.

24-04-2014

DINNER:

Once I moved from my old house, I had to stopped with biological vegetable packets. Unfortunately this service was not available at my new neighbourhood. After a year I found a new one, jupiii! It makes my meals so much interesting!

This week I got turnip tops 🙂

2014-04-24 17.20.54

I decided to make a salad out of it. I added pickled vegetables (onion, carrots and red paprika), onion, olive oil, and salt with pepper.

2014-04-24 17.37.13

I decided to serve this great super healthy salad with lamb cotelette topped with cheese, and fried potatoes with eggplant, leek and crème, spiced with curry, salt and pepper. To drink I had cultured buttermilk 🙂

Hi,

Getting back to the point… See below what I ate on Saturday:)

BREAKFAST:

Again I woke up very early. That was definitely not a time to eat a proper breakfast. Therefore I choose the same as yesterday… A bowl of milk with raspberry juice,  and muesli.

We were shopping in the local grocery shop and we saw ice creams made of farmer’s diary…. Hmm… Since I’ve never tried an ice cream like this, I decided to give it a chance. It was a vanilla ice cream with milk chocolate and almonds. Well, it wasn’t MAGNUM. It was definitely less fat and it tasted more healthy, if that makes sense…

To drink… as most of the days… two cups of cultured buttermilk.

TEA TIME:

SUPPER:

I drank so much liquids that, I was too full to eat anything beside cherries. I love cherries:)
